Fishing from the shore from 8.00 to 13.00. The yesteday storm calmed down perfectly, the sea was like a mirror.

Four hours of fishing from the shore. The wind 20 m/s.

Four hours of evening fishing. A pike 10.080 kg, 115 cm. Zalt-wobbler yellow with black stripes. Over ten others 0.5 - 3 kg.

Yesterday the virgin trip of my new kajak to Union Beach. 3 stripers and two lost ones.The biggest 27"and the others caught by a fly imitating peanut buker. Fun fishing with the kajak, you can do everything as with tubes, but the moving is much faster, and not so cold as tubes. I have to test this, when I get back home to Finland

Viime After the last trip it has been quiet life. 3 trips to Sandy Hook and one to Montauk: 3 hits and a small striper. Last week I bought akajak, perhaps it helps. For instance in Montauk last weekend there was a lot of fishes, but too far out, about 100 meters too far.

The zander season seems to be over in our school waters. Three week ago the biggest ones were about two kilos. In monday boys caught 7 pikes in one hour from 17 to 18, the biggest about2 kg. In tuesday I started to train my pikeflyarm near by the schooll. That was the third session in row with NF. But my hand will be ready for next weekend in Bjorkholma. A wobbler fisherman caught a 3.6 kg pike with a pnk back Nils Master.

In the morning in Palholma, at noon by the bridge and in the afternoon again in Palholma.
About twenty perches of which Timo took the biggest, 610g, with a Storm novelty shadjig.

The night was cold, many minus centigrades, but we went fishing hoping to catch the BIG ONE. We fished both from boat and belly boat. My second cast with afly, and a huge whirl. I thought, that now pikes are in the hitting mood. But then followed two hours of fishing with no sign of fishes. Water temperature was +4 centigrades. Perhaps the best seatrout season is now on? (And I did not have a troutfly with, stupid me). We fished many different places, but nothing. Finally near by island Koivisto I handled a small pike. We tried to solve, where the pikes are and casted empty casts, only one small hit on the fly, but did not hold on. We had to give up... perhaps the cold weather made pikes to close up their jaws. Anyway, I do not know, perhaps a call upstairs to fishing gods might help.

In the morning by the bridge jigging: About 20 small perches, max 300g.
In the afternoon west of Palholma: We found a school of big perches and lost it.
A big pike took Kari´s Balance jig and a pound pike followed Silver spoon.

Spending a day flyfishing pikes.The water level was really low because of long time northern winds. Today the wind was no harm. It has been long time, since I have had possibility to enjoy flyfishing on the sea like now with a "experienced" skipper.

Our catch was quite a poor: All day fishing gave about ten pikes. Anyway we caught raw material enough to make chili-pike pot...

In the morning we were again by the Ava bridge jigging perches. The medium size was even smaller than earlier, not a fish over 400 g, but anyway file about two kilos. SFM-toimitus stayed at home, but others went pikehunting in the afternoon. Pete caught a pike about one kilo, others had NF. Eastern winds take fishes away from the kettle? (= old finnish proverb).

In th morning three hours of fishing: About 15 kg perches. Tappari took the biggest one, 480g Evening session was weak. Only a bit over 10 fishes to take.
SFM-toimitus got a zander, 40cm.

In the morning flyfishing: One good hit by a seatrout, no pikes.
In the evening about three kilos perch file from Ava area. 8 zanders, 6 over the legal size.
The supper is fried fishfile!

Nauvo 10.10.

Today I did open the autumn season of flyfished seatrouts in Nauvo: 2.6 kg and 60 cm.
The fly was: Body silver mylar, black wing, yellow tail and the eyes of bead chain.

In the morning first seatrout fishing: Two fishes seen and some hits.
Then jigging perches: About three kilo file, the biggest 410g.
In the evening Pete flyfished pikes: One 2 kilos and the other 2½ kg.
A monster size pike broke hard mono and took the fly.

In the afternoon perch fishing: one kilo file to taste in the evening and to make a lunch tomorrow. One hour testing, the trouts are active. Both had a trout on but lost them.

Pikefishing in the morning for three hours. Some hits, but only Timo got up a pike weight 1.2 kilos. Heavy northen wind was the problem?

Jigfishing by the big bridge for three hours in the afternoon. Five kilos perchfile. The biggest one exact half a kilo to Petteri. Motor Oil.

HannuR and Sampo

The pikes were under the wind. Hannu got 18 fishes, biggest about 3-kilos. One with a fly and the rest with Zalt.wobbler. Sampo got 7 pikes with wobblers.

Fishing from 9.00 to 13.00 o'clock. First near the big Ava bridge: only small perches. By the Korso bridge nothing. Under the electric line of Baggholma island NF. Again Ava bridge small ones and at home harbour of Gullvivan one 300 g perch. 14 m/s northern wind pewrhaps made the perches to shut their mouths. Riku was the maestro of the day!
